FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NDG Leaders Toastmasters Hosts Open House in Montreal - March 19, 2026

Montreal, QC.

NDG Leaders Toastmasters invites members of the Montreal community to attend a special Open House on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This free public event offers guests the opportunity to experience personal growth and leadership development in action.

Held in the heart of NDG, the Open House will follow the format of a typical Toastmasters meeting, giving attendees a firsthand look at how the organization helps individuals build confidence in public speaking and leadership. Guests will observe structured meeting roles that mirror real-life leadership positions, prepared speeches delivered by speakers at various levels and learning paths, and the popular Table Topics® segment, an impromptu speaking exercise where participants respond to a surprise question on the spot.

The evening will feature an impressive lineup of accomplished speakers:

  • Vivian Yang, Area Competition Top 3 Winner and Club Vice President of Membership

  • Judith Mugeni, Club Vice President of Public Relations, presenting “How to Control Your Fear of Public Speaking”

  • Rebecca Binik, accomplished speaker and Club Treasurer

  • Justin Nantais, District Winner, who will be competing at the Division level in Ottawa this April

  • Jeff Wilgus, Club Sergeant at Arms and Area Contest Top 3 finisher in Table Topics

“At NDG Leaders Toastmasters, we believe confidence is built one speech at a time. Every leader starts somewhere, and our club provides a safe, supportive space where you can challenge yourself, grow, and discover your voice. If you have ever wanted to become a more confident communicator, this is your moment to begin,” said Club President Mathieu Lanoue. “There will also be snacks and time to connect socially during the session.”

Whether you are a student, professional, entrepreneur, or community member looking to enhance your communication skills, overcome fear of public speaking, or develop leadership abilities, this Open House provides the perfect introduction.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required via the club’s website:https://www.ndgleaderstoastmasters.com/openhouse2020
